Wonderful place in the comuninity to go to. The staff is friendly and organized and does a great job of keeping the complex clean. Great place to keep active and have a sauna and a swim in Newmarket for only 3 dollars. You can't beat it. Very happy with my visit and am planning on making it part of my routine.
Went to 2023 Winter Fest, the vendor and amusement were well organized and separated the crowd very well, not concerned about getting too close with other visitors. Not much chance to see the rest of the facility.
The facility could use some updating but otherwise it is very good. Lots of parking. Friendly staff. Lots of activities available.
Very nice a swimming pool very large and deep
Several hockey rinks and several baseball and soccer fields very good
I was impressed by customer service of the place!wow!Barbara was really helpful and professional, she helped me a lot to update the card, advice a lot of good things and was really pleasant and professional 😀 thanks Barbara …
As of April 2021. Ray Twinney Recreation Centre/Arena has been repurposed into a mass-vaccination centre, and I assume this location will be used for vaccinatio at least until the end of the summer.
Here is the walkthrough of the vaccination process: You enter from the front and exit at the back. All the checkpoints are well controlled by volunteers/staff. All time slots are the documents are checked properly. The people that gives injections are all M.D. and they are very professional. I know visiting a vaccine clinic isn't like going to a restaurant, but I am glad to report to you all that I had a pleasant experience here!
So do not be afraid of the vaccine. Let's just get this all over with so we can return to normal soon!
If you are searching this place because you want to book you COVID Vaccine timeslot, make sure you do it online or via the phone. They do not accept walk-in.
Beautiful rink, but terrible ice, only use it if you are playing against strong and fast team, it will definitely slow them down.
One of the best community centers, with finest swimming pool facility.
Well maintained & staff is friendly.
If your looking to rent a hall for a good price the halls at Ray twinney have been newly renovated and the kitchen has all new appliances and counters the hall even has brand new tile
The only down fall is if you get lounge 2 which is the one we had their are windows that you can see the hockey arena there are blinds so you don't have to see it but if there are kids playing you'll hear it
Great arena, we love playing hockey there, especially on the main ice.
